• The Wisdom of Air: Linen loves the air more than anything. Hang it to dry naturally, on a hanger, away from direct sunlight, which can alter its color. Avoid the tumble dryer entirely; its harsh heat can injure its fibres and change its shape.

Ironing: The Dialogue with Creases

• The Ideal Moment: Linen’s true beauty is revealed when ironed while still slightly damp. The moisture allows the fibres to relax and creases to soften with ease.
• The Power of Steam: Use a high temperature setting on your iron and plenty of steam. Steam softens the fabric and brings out its calm lustre.
• Accepting its Character: Do not strive to eliminate every single crease. Natural wrinkles are part of linen’s charm, the signature of its authenticity. Embrace them.
• The Choreography of Care (for shirts): Follow the calm choreography: collar (underside first, then top), cuffs (unbuttoned, both sides), front (careful around buttons), back, and finally, the sleeves (using the seam as a guide).
