A Live Event via our official Facebook page serves as our new digital bridge, our new regular rendezvous with all of you who seek something more than a simple browse through an online store. The digital age tends to alienate and overwhelm the mind with unnecessary information, but we choose to use it as a tool for meaningful, deep connection. From our physical atelier, rooted in the historic and mountainous Pagondas of Samos, we open a live window of communication to transfer the light, the aesthetics, and the pulse of the eastern Aegean to every corner of Greece and the world. To our Calendar of events, we now add this precious digital meeting, which will take place steadily every first Friday of the month, inviting you to a true ritual.
The goal of each meeting is to transfer the atmosphere of our House directly to your screen, creating a safe haven of tranquility amidst the endless noise of social media. We live in an era of unimaginable speeds, where mass production and rapid consumption exhaust both humanity and the planet. For us, Slow Living and Quiet Luxury are not just fleeting fashion trends or advertising slogans. They are an absolutely conscious stance on life. It is the brave choice to slow down, to observe the details, to appreciate the pure texture of organic linen and raw cotton on our skin. Through this Live Event, we will extensively analyze how the architecture of serenity can be applied to our daily lives, proposing a lifestyle that honors time and human nature.
At the same time, this digital space will function as an open laboratory for exploring the concept of Wearable Literature. At GRAMMA House, we firmly believe that sewing and writing are, at their core, the exact same art. We will discuss live how we approach a pattern as a blank page and thread as ink. We will analyze how a geometric seam can hide an entire symbolism behind it and how a garment is not merely a piece of fabric, but a “Letter” (Gramma) that can be read, interpreted, and act as the physical extension of your own unique story.
In this context, we will have the opportunity to leaf through and present together the new “Chapters” of our House, rejecting the commercial and cold term “collection”. Every Chapter we design conceals months of research, study, and introspection. Furthermore, each Live Event will be the ideal platform to discuss our publishing work. We will present our book editions, focusing on narratives that draw valuable inspiration from local history, agricultural tradition, and our folk heritage, as well as the specialized manuals of introspection that accompany our creations, offering a tangible guide for the journey of self-discovery.
A meaningful discussion, however, could never be strictly confined to the boundaries of clothing and aesthetics. We want these online meetings to have a profound social, ecological, and philanthropic impact. Respect for the earth that hosts us is non-negotiable for us. We will dedicate significant time to talk about nature conservation, animal rights and welfare, and how sustainability can become an everyday practice. We will share the way we create the handmade objects of the House, utilizing natural materials and traditional techniques, such as the use of plant-based soy wax, the processing of olive wood, raw clay (terracotta), handmade blown glass, and so much more. Art has a duty to protect life, and through our actions, we will promote philanthropic initiatives that align with our principles.
An equally important pillar of these meetings will be the deeper social and personal issues that touch us all. Violence, domestic abuse, the quest for female empowerment, and finding our inner voice will be central themes of our dialogue. We want the Live Event to be a safe space where we can openly talk about our “cracks,” drawing strength from one another. How do we find our personal “Sanctuary” amidst the chaos? How do our choices, even the smallest ones, affect our psyche and the society around us?
This is not a typical, staged monologue, but a living, interactive organism. We want to hear your voice. We will always dedicate a large part of the time to answering your comments in real-time. The screen will become our common ground for honest communication, exchanging views, and building a true community. A community of “Readers” who share the same vision for a slower, more conscious, empathetic, and more beautiful way of life.
The preparation in our atelier in Pagondas has already begun, and our first meeting is approaching. We invite you to become an integral part of this new, large digital group. Visit our Facebook page, follow us, and turn on notifications to receive a timely reminder. Every time you tune in to watch a GRAMMA Live Event, remember that you are accepting an open invitation to pause. We await you, then, every first Friday of the month, to write together, live, the next pages of our shared story.
